Dear BCO Patron,
The Brazos Chamber Orchestra is excited to inform you about our upcoming
Spring Gala Dinner and Concert on May 5 at the Cleburne Conference Center.
It will be a celebration to end our 2010 – 2011 concert season entitled “Partners in the Arts!”
The formal dinner, which will be prepared by the Cleburne Culinary Arts, will begin at 6:00 p.m. During the meal, members of the Brazos Chamber Orchestra will perform dinner music for entertainment. The performing groups will be Forte’ Strings, Strings for All Seasons, and the BCO Woodwind Quintet.
After dinner, patrons will move to the Performing Arts Center to hear the orchestra present what promises to be one of the most exciting and entertaining concerts ever.
Pianist Dean Peiskee will be performing Sergei Rachmaninoff’s Piano Concerto No. 2 in C minor with the orchestra lead by Maestro David Anavitarte.
Patrons will also enjoy hearing members of the Carnegie and Plaza Theater troupes perform a number of enjoyable and well-known Broadway selections with the orchestra.
The selections will be from Les Miserables, West Side Story, Camelot and Oklahoma.
Members of the Johnson County Art Guild will also be part of this gala. Their artwork will be displayed in the lobby of the Performing Arts Center prior to the dinner and concert and will be on sale throughout the evening.
This will be an exciting evening for all in attendance. Please make plans to join us.
Tickets will be needed for this special event. They will be $50 each or $400 to reserve a table for 8. They are currently available, but limited. To secure your tickets or for more information about the gala, please call Francis Hafford at 817-645-5847.
If you are unable to attend the gala on May 5, please attend one of the orchestra’s other two concerts.
The orchestra will be presenting a concert on Sunday May 1 at 3:00 p.m. at Acton Methodist Church, 3433 Fall Creek Highway, Granbury. On Tuesday May 3 at 7:30 p.m., the orchestra will perform at First United Methodist Church, 590 NE McAlister Road in Burleson. Both of these concerts are free to the public.
We want to make sure that our patrons know what is going on with the orchestra, so we have a new Facebook fan page.
